Glam Cali Queen Arrested In Wild Hitman Attempted Murder Case

A glamorous California equestrian’s life turned upside down after a court ordered her to slash her monthly spending from $50,000 a month to $12,000. With no income and dwindling funds, Tatyana Remley, 42, is accused of trying to kill her estranged millionaire husband in a murder-for-hire plot.

On August 2, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department arrested Tatyana in a sting operation at a Starbucks in Solano Beach. She is accused of offering a mutual friend $2 million to kill Mark Remley, her husband of 12 years.

Divorce proceedings began between Tatyana and Mark in May, further miring her in financial difficulties. With no money coming in and a court-mandated sparsity, she struggled to keep up with her usual expenses. Her lawyer, Tiffany Brown, outlined her client’s struggles in a divorce filing, where she was unable to support her budget of $12,000 per month.

The mutual friend informed Mark of her plan and he went to the police, which resulted in her arrest during the sting operation. It was also discovered that a fire previously occurred at their $5 million home in Del Mar days prior to her arrest. Although Tatyana claims she was present when the fire occurred, she added in one divorce document that she did not know how the blaze began.

The couple have been together for a decade, and while they have filed for divorce in the past, they have reconciled in the past as well. Prior to the divorce, Tatyana lived in luxury, having access to unlimited credit cards and having properties in both California and Hawaii. Additionally, she stated in court documents that Mark’s net worth was over $1 million, including two Rolls Royce cars. In her initial request, Tatyana asked for Mark to pay her $15,000 a month in spousal support.

Tatyana pleaded not guilty to all charges on August 4. She faces a maximum sentence of nine years in prison along with an additional year for firearms, if found guilty on the solicitation charge. In addition, the case has uncanny similarities to Lindsay Shiver, who is accused of conspiring with her younger Bahamian lover and a ‘hitman’ to murder her former husband.

Local reports indicate tensions between the couple, indicated by accusations of abuse and Grade-A luxury travels. During the relationship, the couple opened an acrobatic equestrian show called ‘Valitar’ in 2012 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, only for it to abruptly close due to lawsuits from numerous vendors. In 2015, they opened a cycling studio called ‘Rhythm and Power’ that closed less than a year later for unknown reasons.

Tatyana’s bail was denied by a judge, and her trial is currently pending.
