The news of ex-Auburn football player Robert Shiver and his estranged wife Lindsay Shiver, 36, former Alabama beauty queen are in an unusual set of circumstances that is getting stranger. Recently, Lindsay, along with two alleged accomplices, Terrance Bethel and Faron Newbold, were charged in the Bahamas for a murder-for-hire plot against Robert Shiver while police were searching Bethel’s phone in an investigation over a burglary at a Bar on Great Guana Cay.
Now, Robert has reportedly gone against Bahamas prosecutors’ objections and allowed the trio to be released on bail. Lindsay was granted a $100,000 cash bail, Bethel and Newble were granted $20,000 cash bail and the trio agreed to wear tracking devices. They are also banned from contacting Robert.
Despite helping facilitate the release of the trio, Robert is still having difficulty coming to terms with the entire situation and has yet to tell his three kids about their mother’s arrest. Robert has instead turned to the court for substance and assistance, filing for a divorce and custody of his three kids, as well as sole use of their $2.5 million Thomasville mansion.
Lindsay responded to Robert’s requests by filing a counterclaim accusing Robert of domestic violence and cutting her off from his money, and is due to appear in court in October for a deposition.
It has been alleged that Bethel is Lindsey’s new lover.
While investigating the break in at the bar Police discovered a series of WhatsApp messages revealing the trios plans to take out her husband.

Lindsay was due to be deposed in a divorce hearing on July 18, just before her arrest, but the hearing was pushed back to October 31, according to the court documents.
Police uncovered the plan to murder former Auburn University football player Robert, 38, on July 16 while investigating a break-in at a bar – and say they found WhatsApp messages on that suspect’s cell phone discussing the conspiracy.
All three were flown to the Bahamas capital Nassau from Guana after they were arrested. They appeared in court on Friday but were not required to enter a plea.
The Shiver family own a home in the Bahamas, which is where Lindsay is accused of initiating the affair with Bethel, a source close to the investigation said.
Robert then found out about the relationship between his wife and the 28-year-old and filed for divorce, they added.
She then orchestrated a plan to murder her estranged husband with Bethel and enlisted the help of Newbold, according to authorities.
