Recent reports of Country singer Morgan Wallen’s two-year-old son Indigo being rushed to the hospital after a dog attack have spread like wildfire. Sources have revealed that the toddler needed stitches and his mother KT Smith’s dog is the culprit.
Although Smith has not commented on this traumatic incident on her Instagram publicly, fans have been keeping up with updates from her stories. Smith revealed that Indigo is “OK” but unfortunately he could have a small scar from the attack. Her Great Pyrenees breed dog, named Legend, was adopted in April 2022 and she feels like the dog “kind of saved each other”.

Unfortunately, many people have been voicing their opinion that the only solution was to euthanize the dog but Smith could not bear to make that decision. In her Instagram stories on Monday, she explained that the dog is not aggressive towards adults and that any other choice would be merely sending him to a kill shelter. Smith is taking a humane approach by looking for other options and Legend needs to be gone from her home before Indigo comes back home.
“He hasn’t shown any bit of aggression, before [the bite], at all,” the mother of one said in another clip. “I know there are options that I could have done, with keeping him with a muzzle on around the house — he doesn’t deserve that either.”
“I can’t be a mom that keeps a dog in the house when my child is also traumatized, probably, from that,” Smith continued. “I can’t be a good dog mom to him, keeping a muzzle on him, or a good mom, in general, having a kid really scared of him in the home.”
Although Wallen has not publicly commented on the situation, Smith is making sure that her little son is safe and doing her best to find a suitable option for her canine companion.
In a final post Smith reported that she found a home for Legend on a farm so he can do what he does best.
