A high-flying recruiter from New York has lost her job after a video showing her hurling xenophobic insults at a group of German tourists on a train went viral.
Brianna Pinnix, 30, was caught on video screaming at a group of young travelers on a New Jersey Transit train earlier this week. In the shocking footage, Pinnix can be seen aggressively confronting the tourists and shouting, ‘lets not let immigrants take up our country…how about you get the f**k out of our country.’
Pinnix, who worked as a senior talent acquisition specialist at Capital Rx, has since been fired from her job after the company stated, ‘We have a zero-tolerance policy around prejudicial or discriminatory behavior.’ According to her now-deleted LinkedIn page, Pinnix has been with the company since last September. Prior to that, she had worked for InterQuest Group and Green Key Resources.
The former recruiter has a bachelor’s degree in communications and media studies from Marymount Manhattan College. Pinnix has been described as ‘an absolute pleasure’ by a client on her LinkedIn page, with the client praising her knowledge and personality.
In the video of the confrontation, Pinnix appears to be intoxicated and is seen towering over the tourists who are sitting in their seats. She aggressively asks if they are German before demanding to know what they said. Her husband can be seen trying to calm her down and pleading with her not to cause a scene, as the tourists sit quietly in their seats.
The tourists seem to take the incident in stride, with only one of them getting up from their seats and then returning calmly moments later. It is unclear what led to the confrontation, as well as what comments were made by the tourists to provoke Pinnix’s outburst.

New Jersey Transit released a statement in response to the video, saying they ‘strongly condemn any behavior of this type’ and that customers are encouraged to report incidents like this to train crew members or the NJ TRANSIT Police.
Pinnix declined to provide her perspective or any context on the situation when contacted by DailyMail.com.
The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many condemning Pinnix’s behavior as ‘unacceptable’ and ‘disgusting.’ It serves as a reminder that bigotry and hate have no place in our society.
Pinnix’s actions do not reflect the beliefs or values of Capital Rx and the company has apologized to those who were hurt by her words and actions. Xenophobia and discrimination have no place in the workplace or anywhere else, and it is important for companies to have a zero-tolerance policy in order to create a safe and inclusive environment for all employees and customers.
As hate crimes and discrimination continue to plague our society, it is important for individuals to speak out against it and for companies to take action to ensure that these incidents do not go unpunished. The actions of one individual should not define a company, and it is encouraging to see that Capital Rx took swift action in terminating Pinnix’s employment.
